Taylor Sheridan’s epic „Sicario“ saga is set to return with a third film.
„Sicario“ is an unbelievably dark and gritty thriller focused on the drug cartels that took the entertainment world by storm in 2015.
A sequel – „Sicario: Day of the Soldado“ – was released in 2018 with Josh Brolin and Benicio del Toro reprising their roles.

Both films are exceptional, and the original helped Sheridan’s rise to entertainment power player.

Josh Brolin confirms „Sicario 3“ is happening.
There have been whispers about a third film in the sinister and violent franchise being made, but there was very little information, outside of rumors.
Well, that’s officially changed.

Brolin, who plays CIA operative Matt Graver, recently spoke with ScreenRant, and revealed that a third film „is happening“ with production getting underway „soon.“

The talented actor isn’t the only one fanning the flames that „Sicario 3“ will eventually happen. „Lioness“ star Thad Luckinbill, a producer on the original two films hinted to Entertainment Weekly that it’s a very real possibility, but he kept his cards a bit closer to his chest.
„We’re hoping to do it, so fingers crossed. It would be great to get to do another one for the fans. And, honestly, for me, too. Like, I’m a fan of it. Even though I produced it, I wanna see it,“ Luckinbill told the outlet.

For the sake of the film industry, fans of great movies should definitely be hoping „Sicario 3“ doesn’t just happen, but gets here sooner than later. We can use all the awesome entertainment we can get, and nobody does it better than Sheridan.
Also, if you want to know what amazing cinematography and storytelling looks like with little dialogue needed, the tunnel entrance in „Sicario“ is a masterclass.
