Peak hour commuter chaos is unfolding as a “technical issue” cancels services on the Mandurah and Yanchep lines, causing major flow-on effects across the network.
Crews are working to resolve the issue, a Perth Transport Authority spokesperson said.
Train replacement buses are being organised between Cockburn Central and Elizabeth Quay.
There has been no indication of replacement buses on the Yanchep line.
PTA has issued an apology for the carnage that is unfolding across the city as a result.
“Delays are expected and we apologise for the inconvenience. Please refer to the Transperth website for more information,” it said.
