Woman in custody as pre-schooler’s death investigated

A woman is in custody after police found the body of a pre-schooler at a home.

Police rushed to the Wyong home, on the NSW Central Coast, after a 32-year-old woman presented to the local police station on Saturday.

Officers tried to speak to the woman, but they were unable to so.

The body of the child, believed to be a four-year-old boy, was found inside the home with significant arm injuries late in the afternoon.

The child is yet to be formally identified, but the woman, who was later arrested, is believed to be known to him.
