In XRP news today, DriveWealth is reported to be integrating Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin settlement infrastructure on the XRP Ledger into its brokerage platform, starting with planned European settlement and a later expansion to the United States. The companies announced the partnership yesterday.
DriveWealth provides brokerage infrastructure for fintechs, digital wallets and financial institutions offering access to U.S. markets. It powers investing experiences for more than 100 partners globally, giving the collaboration a potential distribution channel beyond a single brokerage operation.
That network is not evidence of broad RLUSD adoption. The companies have not confirmed which partners will use the integration, whether any are already live, or whether the service will roll out across all of DriveWealth’s partners.
The operational case is narrower and more concrete: international clients can face bank-transfer windows and cutoff times that restrict when capital reaches investment accounts. Stablecoin funding that converts to cash in near real time could reduce reliance on those transfer schedules.

How About Settlement, Payments and Custody?
The settlement integration will use RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, alongside Ripple’s mint-and-burn capabilities. DriveWealth says clients will be able to fund and manage collateral accounts with stablecoins that convert to cash in near real time, rather than waiting for a bank wire.
A separate payments component will integrate Ripple Payments to support cross-border acceptance from DriveWealth’s global partners. The intended role is to streamline incoming funds across markets.

DriveWealth is also working with Ripple on digital-asset custody in Europe, with expansion to additional markets planned over time. The companies describe treasury and custody infrastructure moving onto Ripple’s rails, where clients would have a real-time view of dollars, stablecoins, and crypto and the ability to move between them.
Equity financing is less advanced: DriveWealth and Ripple Prime are exploring opportunities through Ripple Prime’s Delta One business. That work remains exploratory, unlike the announced integrations for settlement and payments.
Jack McDonald, Ripple’s SVP of Stablecoins, said:
“DriveWealth came to Ripple with a specific challenge around cross-border settlement, but it quickly became clear there was an opportunity to do much more together.”

The stated sequence is European settlement followed by a planned U.S. expansion, while custody begins in Europe and may reach additional markets later. Ripple says its regulatory footprint spans more than 85 licenses.
DriveWealth CEO Naureen Hassan said: “We’ve already enabled 24/5 trading; now we need the funding to match, so clients can move with the markets instead of waiting for them.” The companies did not give a product launch date, transaction target, or confirmed partner rollout, leaving the first operational milestone to be disclosed.
They planned to discuss the partnership at a Ripple Swell fireside chat on Wednesday, October 28, in New York City. Until implementation details emerge, the deal signals a possible expansion of institutional stablecoin settlement for RLUSD and XRPL.
